Pete Crow-Armstrong has officially entered baseball history. With his 40th stolen base on September 24, the Chicago Cubs center fielder became just the seventh player in MLB history to record at least 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season. His historic 2026 campaign now stands at 45 home runs and 40 stolen bases, adding another milestone to a season that has already rewritten the Cubs’ record books. The achievement came as Chicago defeated Miami 2–1 and secured its postseason berth, giving the Cubs two reasons to celebrate heading into October.
